Deckhand available in November
Currently working as a deckhand in Southeast, Alaska to acquire sea time for a 25-ton captain's license. I have taken a flood training course through the University of Southeast Alaska Maritime. I started sailing recreationally in 2019, and in 2020 I joined a local yacht club to take sailing lessons, and crew for races. I was previously working as a Contract Representative for Washington State Ferries. Many of my miles have been recreationally and on different sailing vessels; Colombia 22 Sloop, 1960 Pearson Triton, and a John Atkin Gaff Cutter. I lived aboard the Gaff Cutter for 5 months during the fall/winter. Through my time onboard I gained confidence and familiarity on the helm, trimming sails, passage planning, navigation, docking, and day to day boat work.
With crew bay I’m hoping to find opportunities to help deliver any sort of vessel to build miles and gain offshore experience. I'm also interested in other deckhand job opportunities.
