Hi - I'm based in Melbourne, Australia. I've got a little, but varied experience. I've skippered a chartered Catalina 27 on the Gippsland Lakes, helped deliver a cat from Lakes Entrance to Melbourne and crewed for 3 weeks on a 40' cat from Noumea, New Caledonia to Hervey Bay, Queensland. Recently, I crewed for a week around Wilsons Prom, helming the cat in challenging conditions. I'm not an experienced sailor, but I love it and would like to do more. I'm moderately fit, reasonably handy with tools and in the kitchen and keep my berth and the workspaces organised and tidy. I'm a non-smoker and a very light drinker. I've stood open-ocean night watches alone and can handle nav equipment. I'm retired and have good availability for either short or longer cruising. Most recently, I've been skippering my own Catalina 28 on the Gippsland Lakes, but I'm developing a hankering to do some more blue water sailing with an experienced captain.
