Would like to explore French Polynesia
My name is Richard. I have time from December/January to explore French Polynesia for about one or two months.
So far I have sailed mainly in the Mediterranean. Larger trips were a transfer from Suez to the Seychelles and a trip from Holland through the channel and the Biscay to A Coruña. In 2017 I sailed the Fastnet Regatta as a crew member. I am a "vegetarian" who likes to eat fish and sometimes even uses his a spear gun.
I am 51 years old, studied medicine and worked the last years in the organization of hospitals and clinics in Switzerland. In the middle of 2018 I decided to quit my job and my apartment and to start looking for a new vision. I spent four days and four nights fasting alone in the wilderness of northern Sweden. I traveled from Indonesia via Papua to Australia and the South Pacific, where I unfortunately had to abort last fall on the Fiji Islands due to a dengue fever. I love to stay with friends in the Abruzzo region, grewing wine, working in the fields and harvesting olives. Currently I have my base in South Tyrol, where I live in the house of my grandparents. Here I spent the Corona months as a hermit reading and studying. As a passionate mountaineer and ski tourer I had a lot of exercise, too. Slowly, step by step, a new vision, a project of my own in Abruzzo is emerging, which I am very much looking forward to. This project will start in the late spring of 2021.
