Captain/relief captain
I am a yacht captain with over 20 years of seafaring experience and am seeking employment for the entire coming season (preferably on a long-term contract). My maritime certificates are: STCW Captain (Yacht) 500 GT (Maritime Office in Gdynia, Poland), and Transport Malta Master of commercial vessels less than 50 metres and less than 500 GT, operating solely in the territorial waters of Malta. All my certificates, including STCW and ENG1 documents, are valid.
My most recent seasonal contract (as watch officer and captain on a 49-metre motor-sailing vessel of 370 GT) ended in late January 2026. I spent the 2025 season in both the Baltic Sea and the Arctic (the Greenland Sea and the Barents Sea – the Svalbard region). Previously, I served as captain or first officer/watch officer on various yachts (both monohulls and catamarans) up to 46 metres in length and with a gross tonnage of up to 445 GT. I also have experience in sailing smaller monohulls and catamarans, both classic (e.g., J-140, Jongert, Conrad) and modern (e.g., CNB66, Lagoon, Fountain Pajot, Jeanneau, Beneteau).
Education: Qualified Photographer, M.A. degree in Teaching Fine Arts and Photography, post-graduate (macro-economy, programming, and database management).
