Ahoy shipmates!

I am now fully booked to 5th November 21, and free and flexible after that!!

I am a very fit and active, committed individual and I want to sail. I also have lots of free time, having retired from a career in public service, and I am flexible and immaginative. I am resourceful, enjoy mechanical engineering and can cook. I can navigate and I understand weather patterns.

My hobbies include road cycling and renovating and maintaining classic motorcycles. Both have their own challenges, one keeps me fit the other resourceful and immaginative.

I have RYA Day Skipper, leadership, training qualifications and am interested in widening my horizons and getting more sea miles under my belt, with a view to buying a boat/shared ownwership.

Ive recently helped a boat owner move his 9m Moody from Glasgow to Caernarfon and this inc;uded 5 days prepping the boat prior to departing Clydebank as the boat had been hard standing for 5 years. In all I skipped the vessel for 3 days, with many long passeages, including 2 crossings of the Irish Sea. (Troon to Bangor and Howth to Caernarfon) the latter being a night crossing. I now have my miles/days/night hours to start my Coastal Skipper.

I want to sail and meet new people, I want to get more experience before buying myself and look forward to making new contacts afloat.

I don't smoke and I am fully vacinated and house trained.

Every day is a school day, and I am looking forward to new adventures.
