1st Mate and Electrical Engineer / Deck Hand / boat sitting / general maintenance

Thank you for viewing my profile

I would like to be considered for all crew positions, I have many years of experience that I hope will be of interest and of use to skippers and yacht owners alike

I’m a former business owner, divorced, with a grownup Son and Daughter who are independent and very much on their own journey, we did get something right!!!

I’m physically fit, I do not smoke and only drink on dry land, moderately

My experience to date is detailed below:-

I’m currently available for this coming season and very flexible to meet your requirements .

Recent positions and duties held

1st Mate / Watch Keeper / Boson / Sails and Rigging inspections / renewals / Lamer electric /manual winch Service Technician, Marine Electrical Engineer / Yanmar Service Technician/ Crew / Power boat Tender Pilot

I have first hand experience of project management for major and minor, motor or sail yacht refits, engineering services, Yanmar Diesel Engine Service third party contractors supervision on behalf of the clients / yacht owner.

I'm OCD about “ship shape” and tidy, everything must be in its place!!

I have been on and around boats for over 30 years, from 7m RNLI RIBS ATLANTIC 21 off shore, 15m to 24m sailing yachts, motor yachts & Catamarans, contracting electrical engineer on Cruise Ships and 20,000T Royal Fleet Auxiliary dive support ship.

I have completed many ( over 10 years ) English Channel crossings from Padstow, North Cornwall, UK, to Saint Sebastian, Spain with private owners of Atlantic 21 RIB and Redbay Stormforce 15 RIB, some 1000NM round trip - A very unique and wonderful experience ( purely pleasure) with intrepid sailors from RNLI
