Friendship, plan/ assist in navigation, share activities/work aboard, act as steward to serve the captain, give massages
I’m an open minded guy from Quebec, Canada. I have always been interested in navigation. I have about 30 years of experience in nautical navigation. I developed my skills interpreting the weather forecast, navigation equipment such as radars, GPS, autopilot, etc. I can appreciate the risk factors associated with the use of technology in a navigation context. My last boat, for the last 8 years, was a 2007 Mediterra 40.
I piloted off shore in the Atlantic, for repositioning a Marlow 78' from the Thousand Islands in Canada to Florida and the following season from Florida to the Thousand Islands.
I have been a crew member on a Vagabond 47 for two subsequent years. Both times we navigated in the US Virgin Islands for about a month. Then we did the passages from the Caribbean to North America via Bermuda, then to the State of Maine. I also assisted 4 other captains on shorter trips.
I do well in dealing with delicate and difficult situations; on a boat you have to know how to be autonomous and remain in control by adapting to the conditions. In addition, I have always done the maintenance of my boats by myself. I haven't had any accidents and I'm determined to keep it that way.
I am a clean person, respectful of others and their goods. What is important to me is the harmony of the people abord and the fun of sharing from all points of view. I enjoy the day to day activities in a naturist environment. I am very open minded and I adapt myself well to others.
