I'm looking for a permanent or seasonal position as either captain of a smaller vessel or first mate of a larger yacht, that challenges me, keeps me interested and pays well.
I have been delivering a diverse portfolio of sail boats, ranging from 30ft to 70ft mono and multihulls, throughout the length and breadth of the UK and Europe for the past 3 years and 30,000NM. During this time I also provided clients with private tuition and have taken their family and friends on charters around the coasts of Norway, Sweden and down to the Mediterranean. I have crossed the Atlantic from east to west as skipper in the ARC+. Client references available upon request.
Previous to becoming a professional skipper, I worked for 17 years as a Composite Specialist and Rope Access Technician in the Renewables Industry, leading teams on complex blade repair and maintenance campaigns globally. I am also a passionate surfer, freediver, ocean lover and musician.
I am a fit 45 years old with a positive attitude that only gets worse with age. I work hard, I’m proactive, patient, a problem solver and I love a challenge. I’m handy with tools and diesel engines and am a very good cook.
