Looking for a Novice Crew, Friendship, Voluntary work or Deckhand position
Hello!
My name is Sylvie and I'm an intrepid traveller keen for any and all experiences on the great Ocean that covers our world! I'm a team with my partner Vita, and we're both looking for opportunities in various parts of the world, and ultimately wanting to take every opportunity to further develop and learn sailing skills through transoceanic and more local experiences. For long term and transocean experiences we are happy to meet you where you are and get amongst it, if all aligns.
I have spent time aboard my dad's boat, Niord - a Laurin 38 cutter rigged - and sailed across the Cook Straight, through the top of the South Island and in the north east islands of New Zealand. Both of us are going to be gradually working on various RYA certs alongside hands-on experience. Personally I learn a lot better through doing and am a fast learner too.
I'm also a registered nurse by trade so am able to support you and your crew in emergency and first aid situations.
