Couple with some sailing experience looking to join a crew to cross the Atlantic
Hey there!
We're Manon and Lucas, 28 and 27, two mountain dwellers who recently quit our jobs to make our dream come true: to take to the open sea and sail across the Atlantic ⛵ Eager to share great adventures at sea and discover magnificent landscapes in good company, we'd be delighted to join a crew on short or long crossings - the journey is just as important to us as the people we share it with!
We've both sailed for a few weeks and we're going to navigate in the South of France and in Brittany during the months of April and May in order to improve our sailing skills. We know we are not expert sailors, however we've listed a few things that we think might make up for our lack of experience:
1. We've both already traveled for several months on the road while having to deal with unforeseen events or emergencies. Resourceful and handy, we know how to do with limited resources and react efficiently!
2. We've already lived for long periods in small, shared spaces, always in a friendly, caring way.
3. We're well aware that there's a chain of command on every boat, and we know how to respect it.
4. We know how to distinguish between moments of conviviality and moments when concentration is required.
5. We cook and love trying new recipes!
Available from mid-August, we will make our own way to the meeting point and, once there, we obviously intend to contribute to travel expenses!
We see this adventure as an extraordinary opportunity to learn, both by sailing and by sharing life's experiences, and we're well aware that there will be both magnificent and difficult moments to look forward to. The most important thing for us is to take the time to discover places we've never had the chance to visit before with nice people :)
