RYA Coastal Skipper Seeking Deckhand Roles in the Med (Languages: English, Spanish, French)
I am an RYA Coastal Skipper (~5,000 NM) with STCW-95 Basic Safety Training, and experience as skipper in training gained during the 17-week Professional Sailing Training at Hamble School of Yachting, United Kingdom. I hold an EU Passport and a valid B1/B2 US Visa. I am fluent in English, Spanish, French and Polish. I am based in Malaga, Spain.
Key Competencies:
- Navigation and passage planning (incl. night navigation, pilotage)
- Boat handling under sail (trimming, close-quarters sailing)
- Docking and anchoring (under engine and sail, incl. Med mooring)
- Safety and emergency procedures (STCW)
- Engine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Meal planning and victualing
- Team coordination (team management, skippering up to RYA Coastal Skipper level)
- Excellent communication skills (English, French, Polish, Spanish)
- Professional and friendly personality
My immediate goal to achieve the Yachtmaster Offshore qualification.
