Sea Miles 10,000+
Started sailing older than most but I've come a long way - basically all on this beautiful Swedish lady. Most of these miles have been singe-handed including my most recent leg, straight across the Bay of Biscay in weather that was far from kind. I can sail alone but prefer not too. Suffice to say, though, I'm not interested in trying to fit a huge crew on board, just a single crew mate or a couple at most. Now at Panama after single-handing direct from Portugal, stopping only at Curacao.

Boat descriptionsolid, round-bilge, long-keel, blue water cruiser albeit old-school in ways Liferaft, EPIRB, 2 station vhf with AIS, jacklines, flares, radar, solar panels/wind generator, Raymarine Evo autopilot, HydroVane self steering, Chart Plotter... sleeps 8 but I don't want more than 3. She handles like a honey and storms in the North Sea and crossing and across the Bay of Biscay caused no panic in her. Her sails are heavyweight too. I would prefer to run all her lines back to the cockpit but that's not really possible unless I change the mast. Biggest flaw is that she reverses like a drunk pig. Currently at Panama after s single-handed crossing from Portugal, stopping only at Curacao
