Sam is the Staff Skipper of Challenge Wales having sailed in this role since July 2023 and been a volunteer mate prior to this since 2018. Sam is a great people person and works with those onboard to get the best out of them. in 2023 Sam sailed Challenge across the Bay of Biscay in the Tall Ships races and down to Southern Spain representing Cardiff, Wales and the UK at this international event.

Boat descriptionChallenge Wales: Ex round-the-world racing yacht now used for big boat adventures. Sleeping is in pipe cot bunks with 18 berths onboard. Galley with fridge & freezer. Lifejackets and lifelines provided for everyone and a compulsory life jacket policy is in place. Waterproof trousers and jackets are available if required at no additional cost. The vessel is managed by the Challenge Wales charity. All adult adventure voyages help fundraise towards the charity's youth work activities empowering young people and providing transformative sailing adventures to help them develop to their potential.
