Watch: Dinghy Sailing
Sea of Cortez, Mexico to Patagonia
Opportunity, Mexico to Patagonia.
The boat is now in San Felipe, Mexico, in the northern Sea of Cortez. We will depart San Felipe in mid October and sail south. Clear out of Mexico in La Paz on December 1st and sail nonstop to Patagonia, making landfall in Valdivia, Chile at 40 degrees south.
This voyage beginning in San Felipe and completing in Chile involves about 6,000 nms of sailing and two months at sea.
I have cruised/voyaged for 21 years, logging more than 100,000 nms, about half with crew and about half solo. I completed a solo circumnavigation in 2015-17; Panama, Marquesas, Samoa, Fiji, Marshall Islands, Australia, Mauritius, Reunion, South Africa, and non stop return to Panama.
I intend to continue this level of voyaging. Not looking for romance.
I expect crew to be responsible for their personal expenses and share equally in provisioning.
Interested in one crew person only, no couples. And my apologies gentlemen, I prefer a female sailing partner.
