Looking for a Deckhand position
Enthusiastic Deckhand Seeking Opportunities – Available August 2025
I am a dedicated and motivated individual with a strong foundation in maritime operations, seeking a deckhand or similar position for the upcoming season starting in August 2025. With hands-on experience as a deckhand and lifeguard and training in key maritime certifications, I am well-prepared to contribute effectively to your crew.
My experience includes completing the RYA Competent Crew course, RYA Day skipper Theory, obtaining STCW certification, and Powerboat Level 2, along with a Short Wave Radio (VHF) course. I have also had the privilege of working this summer as a deckhand on sailing yachts in Potugual and Galicia, sailing 452 nautical miles with Canary Sail, further developing my practical skills and understanding of life at sea. Additionally I made a voyage from the Azores to the Netherlands on a Tallship, classic sailing ship.
I am fluent in English, Spanish, which allows me to communicate effectively with a diverse range of crew members and guests. This linguistic ability will be a valuable asset in ensuring smooth communication and collaboration aboard your vessel.
I am excited to bring my passion for the sea, my strong work ethic, and my commitment to safety to a dynamic and professional team. I am available to start in late August and would love the opportunity to contribute to your vessel’s success.
