Hoping to Work Hard and Learn the Ropes
Hey there. My name is Collins, and I'm from the Florida panhandle. I grew up along the coast and am a relatively experienced boater, but never had the chance to try sailing. I've been dying to for the last few years, and after the company I worked for was acquired a few weeks back, I'm ready to give this a shot. Would love to find an experienced Captain to crew under. I've worked in corporate America and as a Ranch Hand / Horse Wrangler in Wyoming and Texas, and am no stranger to hard work. Would love to learn everything I can to help crew and become a competent sailor. I'm deeply interested in it all. Navigation, Weather Routing, Mechanic work, and everything else that goes into a passage. Would love to find a long passage as my eventual goal would be to crew an Atlantic/Pacific crossing. But of course willing to start slow. I'm open to any passage anywhere. I can't say I come with a ton of relevant experience (as my virtually irrelevant CV might indicate), but I'm hard working, easy going, and eager to learn. I can see myself falling in love with sailing. Would love to chat about any opportunities that might fit. Thanks!
