Enthusiastic, easy-going and motivated novice crew looking for atlantic crossing
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay.
I’m Mona, a novice crew and I’m looking for a voluntary position for an Atlantic crossing from Europe to the Caribbean ASAP.
I have no sailing experience yet, but I’m very motivated, positive and I learn fast. For the little story, my father is in Portugal, living on his boat (rêve d'Antilles sailboat) and I would love to sail with him but he is a bad teacher... So, I need a bit of help on that ! Do you think you could help me ?
About me:
• I’ve travelled and worked in several countries like Australia(1year), Iceland(1year), Italy(2years), Caraïbes(4years).
• I’m used to physical work, long hours and teamwork.
• I lived in a self-converted van in Australia for one year, which taught me adaptability, minimalism and how to stay positive in simple living conditions.
• I’m clean, organized, respectful and easy to live with.
• I enjoy cooking and helping with daily tasks.
• Non-smoker.
• I want to learn everything I can about sailing.
What I’m looking for:
• A friendly skipper or crew who likes to teach
• A safe and positive atmosphere on board
• A voluntary position (helping with duties sharing costs)
• Adventure, learning and good vibes
