Looking for a Novice Crew position to sail from Tenerife to Antilles
Ahoy captains !
Lolita and Lucas here, both French and 28, and our new plan is to sail across the Atlantic to get to South America (or the Antilles, we’re not fussy!). We already found a boat from Cadiz to Tenerife, we are going to arrive around 3rd January so we are looking to a second plan to sail to South America or Antilles!
? Lucas is a film director working in cinema and video, and I work as a producer for theatre and music festivals. We’ve both spent a lot of time living in shared houses and flats, both individually and as a couple, so we’re used to sharing spaces with others. Whether we’re on the road or in our everyday lives, we love being sociable and spending time with other people, but we’re also happy in our own company, reading, listening to a podcast, writing etc.…
? We’ve been together for 8 years. As we’ve already got a few long trips together under our belt, across France, Europe and Asia, we’re used to living the simple life in basic conditions. Our first big trip took us from France to Turkey on a motorbike – one motorbike and one tent all the way!
⛵️ We both grew up near Nantes on the Atlantic coast of France, so we’ve got some sea experience, and we’ve just completed a liveaboard course (roughly Level 1) at the Glénans sailing school in Paimpol, Brittany. So we’re curious and keen to learn more as we go : happy to take shifts, cook, do small repairs, etc (Lucas fixed our motorbike himself during our year long-trip to Turkey) – as well as helping out with manoeuvres. Happy to roll up our sleeves wherever it’s needed, in short!
Most of all, we know crossing the Atlantic is a human adventure you undertake as a crew, with people, so we’re up for meeting in person if you’re in Tenerife. Also available to speak on the phone or have a chat on Zoom as you prefer.
Look forward to meeting you soon – at port, on the water or elsewhere!
