Looking for a Mile building, Competent Crew, Voluntary work or Delivery Crew position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Mile building, Competent Crew, Voluntary work or Delivery Crew. I’m a new but highly committed new sailor, currently undertaking a structured progression from Competent Crew to Yachtmaster by the end of 2026, with the goal of working professionally as a skipper. (I'm moving to Singapore in 2027).
2026 is a dedicated training year for me. I’m actively building sea miles, experience, and qualifications through a mix of formal courses, hands-on sailing, and real operational time onboard. I’m practical, calm under pressure, and keen to learn properly, whether that’s sail handling, watch-keeping, navigation, maintenance, or general boat operations.
This (European) spring / summer I’m actively looking for volunteering, crew, and boat delivery opportunities around the Mediterranean and Caribbean. I’m particularly interested in passages that offer meaningful responsibility, night sailing, and proper watch systems, rather than purely social sailing.
Background-wise, I bring a professional mindset from a previous career in global advertising I’m organised, reliable, respectful of the skipper and vessel, and understand the importance of preparation, safety, and teamwork onboard. I’m equally comfortable getting stuck into the less glamorous jobs as I am learning new skills.
I’m documenting my training journey as I go, but my priority onboard is always the boat, the crew, and the passage. Not content creation.
