Looking for a Competent Crew, Delivery Crew, Deckhand or Cook/Stew position
Hi everyone! I’m Izzy, a 29 year-old Dutchie, experienced sailor and ocean enthusiast. I’m currently in Australia (moving between Melbourne VIC and Airlie Beach QLD) and looking for various opportunities aboard sailing boats this year, whether it is for sailboat delivery, as a competent crew, or as cook/stew/deckhand position. At the moment I am mainly looking for short-term projects.
I grew up sailing with my dad in the Netherlands, Belgium, France and the UK aboard a Hanse 375. Last year I crewed on a circumnavigating 52-foot monohull, and joined their leg from Fiji to Darwin (Australia). Tasks included night watches, steering, adjusting sails, cooking and cleaning. When I’m off-shift, I enjoy both deep conversation and goofing around! I might be listening to music, read a book on deck, or may even whip out my watercolouring set to paint the ocean around us.
