?Crew member looking for a passage to Europe from Latin America ?
Hi all captains and crew,
I’m currently in Latin America and actively looking for an offshore passage from South or Central America to Europe (Portugal, Spain, France, or the UK), ideally including or passing through the Caribbean and/or the Azores.
My main goal is clear: I want to complete a transatlantic crossing. It’s not just a trip for me, it’s a real personal challenge and a long-term objective. I’m looking for a serious sailing project with a committed crew, where I can fully invest myself and be genuinely useful on board.
I am fully aware of what an ocean crossing involves: long watches, lack of sleep, changing weather conditions, physical and mental fatigue, and the need for strong teamwork at all times. I’m ready for that and motivated by it — not just the destination, but the experience itself.
About me:
• French (Marseille), currently traveling in Latin America
• Highly motivated, serious, and reliable
• Strong adaptability and positive mindset
• Good physical condition, comfortable in demanding environments
• Team player — I integrate easily and always contribute where needed
• Hands-on mindset: I’m happy to help with all tasks (sailing, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, watchkeeping)
• Fast learner, humble, and attentive
I may not have extensive offshore experience yet, but I make up for it with strong commitment, discipline, and a real willingness to learn and improve quickly. I’m not here as a passenger — I want to be part of the crew and contribute fully to the success and safety of the crossing.
Flexible on departure dates and locations (Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Caribbean, or nearby). Also open to staying on board after the crossing if needed (convoy, delivery, etc.).
If you are planning a transatlantic crossing and looking for a motivated and dependable crew member, I would be glad to connect.
Fair winds,
Lucas
