Skilled sailor on life changing adventure
Hello Sir or Madam,
If you're reading this than I'm sure you are in the market for a crew member aboard your boat, yacht, or vessel. I will assure your right now that you need not look any further because I am the man for the job. I will start with a little bit about me, my sailing experiences and skills I bring abord.
I first fell in love with sailing at a young age while at summer camp where I learned to sail a little sunfish on a small lake by a sailing instructor who was able to tell me stories of life at sea on a sail boat, instantly I knew that was the life for me. Sadly as I got older and moved further in shore I lost touch with that love. In recent years I have been honing my skills as a sailor racing keel boats on the Hudson River and Long Island Sound. I knew that just being a eager sailor would not be enough to separate me from the pack so I dove in deep. I learned the skills to fix boats for other people, I've taken on projects from engine rebuild, plumbing and electrical installations, rigging and sail repair, fiber glass and wood working and yes even a few bottom paint jobs. I learned diving by joining a marine rescue team and have too many black water dives to count, by trade I am a Paramedic and bring all the life saving and care giving skills I have to your boat. I have a passion for the kitchen and love to experiment with new ideas and foods in the kitchen. As I have been living life in a tiny apartment for a few years now, tidyness is something that actually matters to me, and as my grandma always reminded me "cleanliness is next to godlyness". And if you're not sold by now.... I am available at a moments notice with no ties to hold me back to shore.
I have goals in mind that maybe you could help me achieve. As my skill set and employment translates mostly to hands on work I would love to learn more about remote work and digital nomad lifestyles. I have lots of great sailing experiences, but need to do some serious mile building over the next few years. Also, I think it would be cool to learn to play an instrument...
Ideally, I am looking for a boat that is crossing the Atlantic from west to east in May of 2023, but am open to other voyages as well.
I hope to hear from you soon!
