I'm David - a 37 year old man ready for another adventure!
I've cycle camped tent-less across Europe, cruised / camped on my Hobie Cat 16 in a variety of conditions, and for the past several years have been sailing my Bristol 33 all around Washington State and British Colombia.
I love sailing in the Northwest, but crew that enjoys snow and rain is rare, so looking to the Caribbean for some sunny passages and new companions.
I can diagnose diesel engines, do fiberglass work, and have a knack for fixing things. I love to cook, bake, surf, play keyboard instruments, share stories, make things out of wood, and play outside.
I've met several wonderful crew on this site, and would love to turn the tables and crew for someone else's boat. While I have no written credentials, I have put a lot of energy into educating myself about sailing. I take safety and boat handling seriously. When I first acquired my Bristol it had a non-working engine, so I spent a year cruising without one, and I feel confident maneuvering under sail.
Sailing brings out the best in me, and I'm excited to meet new people and visit new places.
