Looking to make friends & learn how to sail the ocean
My name's Alex. I'm 24. I'm looking to get out and learn how to sail! I have my PCOC, and I've sailed small vessels on lakes so I understand the basics, but effectively my ocean sailing knowledge is all theory. My goals are to learn as much as I can, make friends, help them have fun sailing, see beautiful things, and become confident enough in my knowledge to justify buying my own boat one day. I'm an amateur astronomer and there's not often a better place to stargaze than the ocean. I work in the environmental field which is generally seasonal, so I often find myself with months off at a time. I'm usually biking, hiking, or climbing in my free time. I like to think that I'm a quick learner, physically fit, tidy, and fun. Let's chat!
