Looking for a working position to gain expirience
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in considering a position as a worker. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!, I am a master electrician onshore, I have been an industrial electrical trouble shooter for 15 years of my career, this gave me a great base on which to practice my problem solving skill, I think my skill would travel well to the maritime world. I am willing and able to cook, clean, serve, install components, perform routine maintenance, monitor equipment and instruments. I am familiar with almost all forms of electrical equipment connection including instrumentation and calibration. I had a 14 foot keel hull I sailed on fresh water lakes in California. It had a jibe, mainsail and hiking straps, I could solo her and it was a lot of fun. I am willing and fit. I am working on honing my skills at Yoga, Tia chi and Meditation and my spiritual outlook is chill with varying degrees of peace and harmony thrown in. I like to cook, I have my own 200 year old sour dough starter. I can make bread from wheat kernels and other things. I like ancient grains. I am not a vegan. I like seafood and meat. I am also flexible and willing to try most things for a season and who knows maybe it will stick. I have a good Italian recipe for sauce that I learned from an Italian family I worked for. I am currently working as an electrician in Ca. I am planning on retiring in July of 2024, but in the meantime I want to get some sailing hours under my belt and will consider any voyage. If you want an expanded skill set please let me know. I am on linked in.
Thanks for looking,
May your sails stay full
