Eco DS learning sailing, maintenance, self-sufficiency
Sailing newbie (RYA DS), starting 1-3 years of sabbatical to enjoy full recovery from cancer, looking for trips on the Med and soon the Canaries, the Azores, Caribbean, Polynesia, Cape Town, the roaring 40s, possibly circumnavigation. Hard working, willing to learn proper seamanship (or seawomanship, thanks Maiden et al) and self-sufficiency. Happy to join a research/marine conservation boat or races. Ideally, I'd like to connect sailing with a higher purpose like marine conservation, education or philantropy. Holidaying and endless partying is not for me. Responsible, thorough, non smoker, non drinker, non bullshitter, healthy lifestyle, zero waste, great at saving resources, packing and organising space. No sea sickness. Used to multiculturality, sensitive to clear communication, taught teenagers critical thinking in international schools. Own cabin, solid boundaries and clarity essential. INFJ. Pets and kids welcome. I like people who went through adversity and came back wiser and happier.
