Looking for Crew Positions Winter Season (Nov 25 - Feb 2026)
Hi - I am looking for my next sailing adventure!
Hi all! I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi!
I completed competent crew certificate in Grenada in 2023. I use to sail in Dubai in the Nineties and fell in love with it, but life (work, family) became a priority for many years. I have been crewing since April in The Solent (UK) on a 53i Jeanneau. My role is as competent crew and event host as this is a commercial vessel. I am currently doing my Day Skipper Theory Training and the Captain has been instructing me on this vessel. I should have 2000 + NM under my belt by end of this Season.
I am a change maker, (London School for Social Entrepreneurs 2020) Qualified Nanny, (30 years experience) Mother (22 year old son) Paediatric first aider, Level 2 Food Hygiene, and Teacher.
I am English and have travelled extensively - Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, USA, Australia, Africa, Europe, Middle East, China and absolutely love meeting new people and adventure, along with ☀️ the freedom of the open seas ❤️ I have a big bucket for next few years!
The children’s charity I founded in 2009 earned me recognition from Her Majesty The Queen in 2016 with an MBE. I resigned in May 2025 to pursue sailing as my future career.
I am high functioning, articulate, organised, generous, kind, creative and I like a good laugh. Music, audio books and film is are my mental escapes.
I am looking to gain experience sailing and build up nautical miles on multi trips over the next few years from November - April. I am interested in sailing more in The Caribbean, Dubai and I would love to sail in New Zealand, but anywhere with fair winds and sunshine to escape the cold English weather is good.
I am starting a research PhD in creative media education in Oct 2025 - part time study. The Doctorate is remote study. I need to attend a weekly on line lesson on my laptop so I do need adequate WIFI. Max time away from UK is 27 days. I need to book return flights from UK so arrival / departure airport must be confirmed with a clear passage plan identified.
I do occasionally like the finer things in life but I am seeking a simple, honest, life in nature with likeminded individuals.
I would prefer a 'clean living' crew, (no drugs, alcohol), for their to be more than two Crew on board at any given time and to work on Sailboats rather than Superyachts.
I have already had some unusual offers so to clarify I am looking for a professional arrangement not a partner, so if you are seeking a relationship other than friendship I am not interested.
Please get in touch if you think you’d like me as a Crew mate and we can set up a Zoom.
