Looking to travel from Australia to Indonesia in May/June 2024
Hi everyone!
We - Tim, 33, Aussie and Margot 31, French - are looking for a boat to travel from Australia to Indonesia or Timor at the end of May 2024 or June 2024.
We will be starting a slow and exciting adventure "overseas and overland" from Melbourne back to France through the Himalayas and Central Asia. So our first challenge is to cross the Timor Sea to Indonesia!
Tim has some but very little sailing experience and I have close to none if you put aside a few times sailing with friends not being asked to do much.
BUT! We are very motivated, handy, fast learners, adaptable and "can-do" mindsets.
We are fit, active and resourceful. We love the outdoors, mountains and the ocean and are keen long-distance hikers and backcountry skiers. We have spent the past 10 years working in the energy and climate sector.
We are easy going, love meeting new people and having a good chat (and a boogie), but also enjoy being quiet, yoga, reading, cooking and keeping to ourselves.
So we are looking for someone who would accept to take us on their boat for this first leg of our adventure! We are keen to learn and be as helpful as we can.
We are flexible on time and location of departure and destination.
