Looking for a First Mate, Deckhand, deck/stew or Delivery Crew position
I’m Ruby, a Yachtmaster Offshore with over 4000 nautical miles of sailing experience across the UK and Southeast Asia, including 13 years spent exploring Indonesia. Initially, I joined the yachting industry with aspirations of becoming a stewardess, and during my training at UKSA, I quickly discovered a true passion for sailing that complemented my interest in interior work. This balance between hospitality and navigation sparked a deeper commitment to life on the water.
Since then, I’ve worked as a watersports instructor, developed a love for racing, earned my Yachtmaster qualification, and had the opportunity to work on some incredible boats. Sailing has taken me through some of the world’s most stunning coastlines, and each journey only deepens my appreciation for the sea and its dynamic nature.
Alongside my passion for both sailing and stewarding, I’ve developed a keen interest in yacht engineering. I’m eager to further hone my skills on deck, in the interior, and in the engine room. The most rewarding part of my career has been working with and learning from a passionate, skilled crew. Now, I’m seeking my next boat—one that will allow me to continue expanding my yachting expertise across departments and dive deeper into the technical side of the industry.
