Looking for a Competent Crew, Delivery Crew, Deckhand, OOW, Cook position, or a good all around position.
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a OOW, Competent Crew, Delivery Crew, Deckhand, Cook, or a good all around position. I am a very experience and highly professional seaman. I spent almost 7 years in the Canadian navy training as a diver and then I receieved my OOW qualifications on Canadas Maritime Coastal Defense Vessels.
Since then, I have sailed on a few random boats, sailing the Mediterranean, Atlantic, the Solent, the Fjords in Norway. I have also participated in the Rolex Middle Sea Race and the Bucket Race in Saint Barthemy. But the real highlight or should I say passion has been the the last 25 years sailing onboard a Tallship. I have all the required qualifications to go to sea including my Ships Captains Medical.
I am very experienced in provisioning on a budget and cooking for over 36 people. I would describe my food as simple, fresh, healthy, and most importantly local. Most of my meals include only 5 ingredients. I believe that a tomato should taste like a tomato. A chicken should taste like a chicken.
"They" say that age is just a number. I believe that to be true. I hired and worked with people from all over the world. I spent my life surrounded by younger people which in turn has kept me on my toes and given me good energy. In saying that I realise that I am not 20 anymore. However, working on a tallship for so many years has also kept me fit.
