The skipper has been sailing since he was a babe in arms.
He has done three transatlantics, countless cross-channel trips. The sea is his second home. He owns three boats (including a 12' skiff) and the 36' yacht, Xenia. We focus on enjoying the time at sea and are currently focusing on IRC racing in the West Country and cross channel (when the latter will resume), but we also enjoy cruising the boat.

  • Boat descriptionThe boat is a 36' cruiser racer. Conventional (symmetric) spinnaker. We have optimised her for IRC racing, and this is paying off in our results. For the racing we are looking to have fun and are not taking the racing super-seriously (life is too short). But we do race IRC and we certainly don’t disgrace ourselves. We carry the usual gear for ISAF category 2. For cruising, the boat sails beautifully: she is a light displacement racing boat, so we don't have hot water, nor a shower on board. We do have berths rather than pipe cots and, for now, a cabin table.
