  • Boat descriptionInclusive Adventures is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. InclusiveInc.org A COMMUNITY IS STRENGTHENED BY EACH MEMBER'S CONTRIBUTIONS. INCLUSIVE COMMUNITIES ARE STRONG COMMUNITIES. Mission: To empower all to contribute their talents to the best of their abilities. Give Perspective. Create Possibilities. Change a Life. Strengthen Community. We INSPIRE, MOTIVATE, AND EDUCATE THRU LIFE-CHANGING EXPERIENCES to stimulate a fundamental shift in perspective for both participants and the public from programmed, vulnerable dependency to confident, capable self-determination. Participants develop confidence in their capabilities and a perspective of possibility. Why would anyone try to achieve an education or contribute their talents through employment if they believe their only prospect is to sit in front of a television trapped in a nursing home or even their own home. We all need to believe in future possibilities worth striving to achieve. Participants learn new skills through the catalyst of adventure. Adventure offers us a sense freedom only achieved in overcoming challenges, perceived limitations, and our fears. This newfound freedom, powerfully shifts perspective to possibility - directly and measurably changing participant's lives, and their role in family and community. Adventures are about the Journey, Not the Destination. A journey involves personal development. A trip is from point A to point B. Possibilities is a 62' Pluckebaum Baymaster Houseboat Style Motor Yacht with twin 340 hp Cummings VT903-M2 Diesel Engines. Aluminum hull and engines are 1979. Everything else has been upgraded or replaced. Features a huge 3kw solar hardtop with 29kwh Lifepo4 Batteries that can power everything when off-grid on anchor including air conditioning in 1-2 cabins overnight. Wheelchair lift and ramps, roll-in shower, ceiling lift track for transfers from wheelchair to bed, new wheelchair-friendly galley, custom adaptive controls allow anyone to take the helm when cruising if they can drive a wheelchair even with head control only. Possibilities II is a 75' Aluminum Caribbean Capable Motor Yacht, being modified for 100% inclusive wheelchair-friendly access from aft cockpit to helm to the flybridge to the engine room. 100% Off-Grid Solar capable, including solar air conditioning. Can cruise America's Great Loop and the Caribbean. America's Great Loop is circumnavigating the Eastern continental United States and Canada over 6000 miles. This cruise involves stopping at many cities and spending the week, smaller towns for provisioning or 50 of 70 of the United States national parks. We started by South from Louisville Kentucky on the Ohio River, then to the Tennessee River and the land between the Lakes, south through Alabama on the Tombigbee canal to Mobile Alabama, then New Orleans, and all of Florida. Next is East Coast of US past New York, up the Hudson to the Erie Canal, through the Great Lakes and Canadian heritage canals, to Chicago.
