Cruising Philippines to Malaysia (Borneo)
Updated Nov 2018
Ahoy and Welcome aboard!
I am the owner and Master of the beautiful and luxurious Pirate Ship ‘Bindy Too', a 44 foot steel twin masted sailing ship currently sailing in the Philippines.
I am looking for some help for my next voyage which is to Borneo commencing in January 2019, ideally people who are personable, respectful, reasonably physically fit and pleasant smelling: whilst a sense of humour is a must and ability to follow orders a given, drawing, dancing, singing and entertaining skills would be a definite bonus.
There is a substantial cost to running a cruising yacht, ask any Captain, and one of the reasons I take on crew is to mitigate some of those costs.
The cost is US$200 per week, this includes food and grog rations and a complimentary Crew T Shirt.
Duties will include general domestic chores such as cooking and cleaning, ship maintenance, laughing at the Captains' jokes and helping sail the ship; experience is not essential as full training will be given but the ability to catch and prepare seafood, tie knots, swab decks, climb masts, swing a cutlass and laugh in the face of adversity is always useful and most appreciated.
When off duty, crew are encouraged to use the facilities provided, there is snorkelling equipment, a kayak, fishing gear, movies, books and ample space to just kick back and relax.
Thanks for reading.
