Looking for a Competent Crew, Novice Crew, Friendship or Voluntary work position
Hi,
I’m 29, adventurous, and currently working as a freelance video producer and videographer, with a background in international law (yes, part of that generation that managed to go through three career changes before turning 30).
I’ve spent a few weeks on boats and sailboats, and recently joined a regatta around the Île d’Yeu in France — a great opportunity to practice maneuvers and read the winds. I still have plenty to learn (or re-learn), but I’m studious and always eager to adapt to the captain’s way of doing things.
I don’t get seasick, I know my knots and safety basics, and I’m comfortable with night watches.
I’m hoping to cross from Europe to the American continent, though I’m also open to other sailing adventures. You can count on me as a friendly, reliable, and hardworking crew member.
Beyond sailing, my main interests are climate justice, art, music, social ecology, languages, DIY, learning new things, and sharing experiences.
I speak fluent French, English, and Spanish, with a bit of Portuguese as well. While I’d feel more comfortable sailing with people around my age, I’m open-minded and interested in Competent Crew, Novice Crew, Friendship, or Voluntary positions.
Looking forward to new horizons and meeting great people!
Best,
Diane
