Canaries for Transat to Carrabean / Antilles - Trainee crew member for motivated Crew
=> Learning crew member for a motivated crew! Freshly arrived in the Canary Islands from Portugal, my head still full of lessons learned from the last 850 nautical miles aboard the Pelangi, I'm in a willing mood, naturally quite calm, and with a cheerful disposition. Sharing, motivation, diligence, and kindness are values I would love to share with a crew heading towards the Caribbean!
=> My name is Sélène (Tortue is my nickname), I'll soon be turning 25, I'm an electronics technician by training, and a writer by passion. At the end of October, I left my native Switzerland for an 8-month backpacking trip, eager to confront the fears and preconceptions I have about myself and the world we live in. My eyes then turned to the Dominican Republic, my second homeland, the country of my father and half of my family, who have always been strangers to me.
=> If I had to describe myself, my friends often say I'm a rather calm but resourceful person. I consider myself cheerful and energetic, but I enjoy intense discussions just as much as precious moments of silence.

=> What I hope to bring to a crew:
- My two hands, my two eyes, and my whole head
- My vegan bolognese, my shark plushie, and my energetic playlists for sailing in a fresh breeze
- Sharing what makes me and my journey what I am, writing, meeting new people, and lots of learning
=> What I hope to gain from it:
- Technical experience, autonomy in basic maneuvers, and a foundation in more complex aspects
- Support and sharing, far from land, from all notifications on our phones and the bad news of the world, filled with self-reflection and learning from others
